The 2015–16 Vijay Hazare Trophy was the ninth season of India's premier domestic one-day cricket tournament, named after the legendary cricketer Vijay Hazare. Organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the tournament featured state teams competing in a Limited Overs format. The season commenced on November 4, 2015, and concluded on December 23, 2015, with 27 teams divided into four groups. The tournament's knockout stage culminated in the final held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, where Mumbai emerged victorious, claiming their third consecutive title.
