2007 Military World Games

The 2007 Military World Games were the fifth edition of the quadrennial international multi-sport event organized by the International Military Sports Council (CISM), held in Hyderabad, India, from October 14 to October 21, 2007. Marking a significant milestone for India, this was the first time the country hosted the Games, which aimed to promote cooperation, friendship, and solidarity among military personnel worldwide through sports. Over 6,000 athletes from 101 nations participated, competing in various disciplines such as athletics, basketball, and swimming. The Games concluded with India securing a commendable medal tally, showcasing its growing prowess in military sports while fostering international camaraderie among participating nations.
