2005 Delhi bombings

The 2005 Delhi bombings were a series of coordinated terrorist attacks that occurred on October 29, 2005, in New Delhi, India. The attacks targeted popular marketplaces, specifically the Sarojini Nagar market, the Paharganj area, and the Anand Vihar bus terminal. The bombings resulted in the deaths of at least 62 individuals and injured over 210 others, marking one of the deadliest attacks in the capital city in recent years. The blasts were attributed to militant groups, with the responsibility claimed by the Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba and various extremist factions. The incident heightened security concerns in India and led to increased counter-terrorism efforts by the Indian government.
