1st Pondicherry Representative Assembly

The 1st Pondicherry Representative Assembly, established in 1963, was the inaugural legislative body of the Union Territory of Puducherry, India. Created under the provisions of the Puducherry Legislative Assembly Act, the assembly marked a significant step towards self-governance and democratic representation for the residents of Puducherry, a former French colony.
