14th Karnataka Assembly

The 14th Karnataka Legislative Assembly, officially established in 2018, is the governing body of the Indian state of Karnataka. This assembly comprises 224 elected members and convened for its first session on June 4, 2018, following the general elections held in May of the same year. The assembly witnessed a hung verdict, leading to the formation of a coalition government between the Indian National Congress and the Janata Dal (Secular) under the leadership of Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy. However, the government faced political instability, culminating in a trust vote and subsequent resignation in July 2019. The assembly has since been marked by significant legislative activities and political developments, shaping the governance of Karnataka.
