100-ball cricket

100-ball cricket is a limited-overs format of the sport, primarily popularized in India and introduced by The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2019. This format consists of each team facing a total of 100 legal deliveries, with a maximum of 15 sixes allowed per innings. The innings are divided into two halves of 10 overs each, with a strategic break for teams after the first 10 balls, allowing for tactical adjustments. The format has been adopted with enthusiasm in India, reflecting the country's rich cricketing culture and the demand for varied formats within the game. The inaugural tournament was the Hundred, showcasing franchises from England and Wales, and subsequently inspiring domestic leagues in India.
