16th Punjab Regiment

The 16th Punjab Regiment was a distinguished infantry regiment of the British Indian Army, formed in 1857 during the Indian Rebellion. Originating from the Punjab province, the regiment played a pivotal role in various military operations throughout its service, including both World Wars and the post-independence conflict in India and Pakistan. Known for its bravery and tactical proficiency, the regiment adopted the motto Nihil Nisi Optimum (Nothing but the Best).
