16th Bihar Assembly

The 16th Bihar Legislative Assembly was constituted after the Bihar Legislative Assembly election of 2020, which was held from October 28 to November 7, 2020. The assembly consists of 243 members, representing various political parties and independent candidates. The Janata Dal (United) emerged as the largest party, leading a coalition government known as the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The assembly's first session convened on November 23, 2020, and it plays a crucial role in the legislative process of the state, including the formulation and enactment of laws, approving budgets, and addressing the concerns of its constituents. The assembly operates within a constitutional framework, ensuring democratic governance in Bihar.
