2017 Premier Futsal

The 2017 Premier Futsal was the inaugural season of India's first professional futsal league, launched to promote the sport and tap into the growing interest in football in the country. Co-founded by former Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and other sports entrepreneurs, the league featured eight franchise-based teams representing various Indian cities. The tournament took place from July to August 2017, showcasing a mix of local talent and international players, including notable football stars. The league aimed to provide a platform for emerging futsal players while entertaining fans with fast-paced matches. The inaugural season culminated in a grand final held in Mumbai, where the winning team was crowned the champion of futsal in India.
