2016 Pathankot attack

The 2016 Pathankot attack was a terrorist assault that occurred on January 2, 2016, at the Pathankot Air Force Station in Punjab, India. The attack was carried out by a group of militants affiliated with the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) organization. The assailants infiltrated the airbase with the intent to sabotage crucial military infrastructure and inflict casualties on security personnel.
