2015 National Games of India

The 2015 National Games of India, officially known as the 35th National Games, were held from January 31 to February 14, 2015, in Kerala, marking the first occasion the state hosted the event since its inception in 1940. Organized by the Indian Olympic Association in collaboration with the Government of Kerala, the Games featured over 10,000 athletes competing in 37 sports across 52 disciplines. With the theme Rise Up, the Games aimed to promote unity and sportsmanship among the diverse regions of India. The opening ceremony took place at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi, while various venues across the state accommodated the events. Kerala emerged as a hub for athletics, showcasing its facilities and commitment to enhancing India's sporting culture.
