2015 Malabar Premier League season

The 2015 Malabar Premier League (MPL) was the inaugural season of the Malabar Premier League, a Twenty20 cricket tournament held in the Malabar region of Kerala, India. Organized by the Malabar Cricket Association, the league featured six franchise teams representing various districts of the region. The tournament commenced on August 24, 2015, and concluded on September 4, 2015, culminating in a grand final at the Kozhikode District Sports Complex. The league aimed to foster local talent and promote cricket in the area, with teams competing in a round-robin format followed by playoffs. The Kannur Royals emerged as the inaugural champions, defeating the Calicut Heroes in the final, thereby establishing the MPL as a significant addition to Kerala's sporting landscape.
