2010 Indian Premier League

The 2010 Indian Premier League (IPL) was the third season of the Indian Premier League, a professional Twenty20 cricket league in India, founded by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in 2008. The tournament commenced on March 12 and concluded on April 25, 2010, featuring eight franchise teams representing various Indian cities. Chennai Super Kings emerged as the champions, securing their first title by defeating the Mumbai Indians in the final held at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai. The season was notable for its high-octane matches and significant player performances, including the emergence of star players like Suresh Raina and Kevin Pietersen. The league continued to enhance India's position as a global cricketing powerhouse while generating substantial commercial revenue.
