2009–10 I-League

The 2009–10 I-League, the third season of India's premier professional football league, commenced on 24 October 2009 and concluded on 20 March 2010. Sanctioned by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), the league featured 14 participating teams, including three promoted clubs: Pune FC, Chirag United, and ONGC. This season marked a significant development in Indian football, showcasing a competitive format that saw the introduction of a new points system and an increase in the number of matches played. Dempo SC emerged as the champions for the second consecutive season, securing their fifth title overall.
