127 Hours

127 Hours is a 2010 American biographical survival drama film directed by Danny Boyle, based on the true story of mountain climber Aron Ralston, portrayed by James Franco. The film chronicles Ralston’s harrowing experience of being trapped by a boulder in Utah’s Blue John Canyon while canyoneering alone in April 2003. Although primarily set in the United States, the film drew international attention and resonated within the Indian context, highlighting themes of survival, isolation, and the human spirit. 127 Hours received critical acclaim for its direction, cinematography, and Franco's performance, earning several Academy Award nominations, including Best Actor. Its exploration of resilience and the will to live has made it a significant work in contemporary cinema.
