11th Cavalry (Frontier Force)

The 11th Cavalry (Frontier Force) was a distinguished cavalry regiment of the British Indian Army, constituted in 1903 as part of the reorganization of Indian cavalry units. Originally formed to serve in the Punjab province, the regiment primarily operated in North-West India, playing a vital role in various military campaigns and operations during the British Raj. Known for its exceptional horse-riding skills and adaptability in challenging terrains, the 11th Cavalry was instrumental during the tumultuous periods of the First World War and the Second Anglo-Afghan War. Following India's independence in 1947, the regiment was absorbed into the newly formed Indian Army, where it continues to serve with distinction, embodying a rich legacy of valour and resilience in military history.
