2015 Delhi Legislative Assembly election

The 2015 Delhi Legislative Assembly election was conducted on February 7, 2015, to elect members of the sixth Delhi Legislative Assembly. Following the dissolution of the previous assembly and a brief period of President's Rule, the election was marked by a significant political contest primarily between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the Indian National Congress (INC). AAP, led by Arvind Kejriwal, aimed to build on its previous victories and promote anti-corruption measures. The election saw a record voter turnout of 67.1%, with AAP emerging victorious by securing 67 out of 70 seats. This decisive win enabled Kejriwal to return as Chief Minister, establishing a strong foothold for the party in Delhi politics.
