2011 Indian Premier League

The 2011 Indian Premier League (IPL) was the fourth season of the premier Twenty20 cricket league established by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Taking place from April 8 to May 28, 2011, it comprised 74 matches, culminating in a high-stakes final held at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The season featured a total of 10 teams after the inclusion of Pune Warriors India and Kochi Tuskers Kerala. Chennai Super Kings emerged as the champions, successfully defending their title and securing their second championship trophy. The season was notable for its expansive television audience, significant commercial sponsorship, and the emergence of cricketing talents, while also facing controversies including spot-fixing allegations.
