14th/15th Lancers

The 14th and 15th Lancers were distinguished cavalry regiments in the British Indian Army, with origins dating back to the 19th century. Formed during a period of significant military reorganization, the 14th Lancers was established in 1858, while the 15th Lancers followed in 1921. These regiments were integral to British military operations in India and played crucial roles in various campaigns, including the Second Anglo-Afghan War and World War I. Renowned for their discipline and gallantry, they were recognized for their contributions to frontier policing and colonial expeditions. After India's independence in 1947, the regiments were disbanded, leaving behind a legacy of valor and service in the annals of Indian military history.
