2015 SAFF Championship

The 2015 SAFF Championship was the 12th edition of the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship, a biennial international football tournament for the men's national teams of South Asia. Held from December 23, 2015, to January 3, 2016, the tournament took place in India, marking the second time the country hosted the championship since 2009. The event featured eight participating teams: India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, the Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan. India emerged as the tournament champions, securing their seventh title by defeating Afghanistan 2-1 in the final held at the Trivandrum International Stadium. This victory further solidified India's dominance in South Asian football.
