The 2008–09 I-League was the second season of India's premier professional football league, operating under the All India Football Federation (AIFF). Commencing on October 7, 2008, and concluding on December 21, 2008, this season featured a total of 12 teams competing in a round-robin format, with each club playing the others twice, once at home and once away.
